Omega Law Group and its scholarship selection committee understand that college remains a significant financial obstacle for today’s students. In an effort to alleviate some of that financial stress, the firm proudly debuts its Community Growth Scholarship. This scholarship aims to reward a student who’s displayed a compelling commitment to the world around them.
Students have the opportunity to share stories about their community commitment by video or traditionally written essay. The firm encourages students to consider which communities have had the greatest impact on their lives and how they have given back to those communities in turn.
Students have until December 15, 2024, to gather the materials needed to qualify for this $2,500 scholarship. Omega Law Firm will work to apply the scholarship funds to a student’s spring semester tuition.
Who is Eligible?
Students throughout the United States can apply for Omega Law Group’s 2024 Community Growth Scholarship so long as they meet the following criteria:

How Do I Apply?
Students looking to apply for the Omega Law Group 2024 Community Growth Scholarship can create either a traditional written essay or a video essay addressing the essay topic below. Upon completing that essay, the firm requires students to:
- Complete the application form on Omega Law Group’s website
- Upload a link to their video essay or scholarship essay
Students should double-check their applications to ensure that they have all of their application materials included in their packet. The scholarship selection committee will not consider applications submitted without all essential materials.
Creating Your Scholarship Essay
Omega Law Group encourages students to either draft a traditional essay or create a video essay addressing the following topic:
- What does your community mean to you? Discuss your commitment to both your school and any communities that have influenced your day-to-day life.
Students who choose to write traditional essays should answer these questions in fewer than 1,000 words. We encourage students to consider what hardships they’ve faced over their lives and how their communities have lifted them up. Students can refer to specific instances in their lives when their communities made the difference between failure and success.
To be eligible the essay must include a header mentioning the student’s full name; the date of application; their school’s name and the financial aid office contact information (mailing address, phone number, e-mail address), and their student ID number. Once finished, students should upload their essays in Word format through Omega Law Group’s website.
Omega Law Group does not have a bias toward traditionally written essays or video essays. The scholarship selection committee will provide equal weight to both essay formats.
Creating a Video Submission
Students who choose to create video essays should answer the aforementioned question in anywhere between one and two minutes. We encourage students to script and edit their videos carefully, though the firm will not award its scholarship based on editing ability.
We also encourage students to credit any B-roll materials, editing software, and interviewees included in their essays.
For the videos to be considered eligible students are required to:
- Record their videos in well-lit areas while holding their recording device of choice as still as possible.
- Mention their full name and the name of the scholarship they are applying for either at the beginning or at the end of their video and give credits as necessary.
- Specify any sources of information and the media editing tools used in crafting and creating their videos in the description of the video.
- Use only copyright-free content, and come up with a creative, catchy title that reflects their ideas.
Upon completing their video essays, students should upload their videos as unlisted videos to YouTube and then share a link to that video with Omega Law Group.
